One stormy day in August, Esel’s younger sister Risa, came home from school announcing, “I really need rainboots!”

Esel’s face went blank but her mind was jumping! Since her college days , she had been dreaming of having something to protect her feet from puddles as she walked to class from one building to the next.

Starting that rainy afternoon, Esel and her friends made it their mission to transform the way Filipinos feel about rain. BrightCloud Inc., born in rainy Manila, November 2007, is the first ever company to bring Wellies to the Philippines.
